Arrest and Booking Photo Disclaimer
An arrest, charge, warrant, booking entry, or booking photo does not prove guilt. Every person is presumed innocent unless and until a court enters a lawful finding. A person may be released, acquitted, have charges dismissed or changed, or qualify for sealing or expungement. A page or photograph can remain online after the official custody record changes.
“Busted” is used as a search term and headline phrase. It is not a legal status. Use neutral terms such as arrested, booked, charged, released, or sentenced only when the official record supports the specific term. The private project does not host government records, certify a copy, or create a permanent booking-photo archive.
Official Verification
Current custody should be checked with Big Sandy Regional Detention Center. Arrest and incident questions should be directed to the arresting agency, including Salyersville Police or the Magoffin County Sheriff. Court outcomes belong to the Magoffin County clerk. A later state-custody question may belong to Kentucky DOC. News outlets and third-party indexes are secondary and may use different dates, fields, images, and retention rules.
Public Records Are Not Consumer Reports
Magoffin County Busted Mugshots is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act. Information on these pages and in linked sources must not be used as a consumer report or for credit, employment, tenant, insurance, or any other FCRA-regulated purpose. The site does not make eligibility, suitability, or risk decisions about any person.
Users are responsible for complying with the law, the originating agency’s terms, and the terms of any destination reached through a link or search box. A public record can still be protected from a particular use or subject to correction, sealing, expungement, or removal rules.
Removal and Correction Limits
Kentucky law, including KRS 61.8746, addresses the practice of posting a public booking or inmate photograph and requiring payment or another thing of value for its removal. This reference does not endorse paid removal services. If an official record is wrong, contact the agency that controls it. If a court order or expungement applies, use the official Kentucky process and then ask each independent publisher to correct or remove its copy.
Juvenile and protected records require special care. Kentucky’s KRS 610.340 limits public access to juvenile records. No page should be used to identify or republish a protected juvenile record.
